https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1095

The purpose of this community service is to provide insight into Canva to teachers so that there is an increase in the design, presentation, and creativity skills of educators. If teachers are able to use this Canva learning media, it will make it easier for teachers to deliver material in learning. The method of implementing the service uses a participatory workshop approach, which includes material presentations, discussions, and questions and answers, direct practice of making learning media, and microteaching as an initial form of application. The results of this community service activity are to improve teachers' skills in using digital media, especially Canva, creatively, communicatively, and collaboratively in the learning process. Through a direct practice approach, teachers are able to produce interactive and relevant learning media with Islamic Religious Education material, while developing soft skills such as creativity, technology adaptation, and cooperation. The contribution of the results of these service activities not only has an impact on improving individual teacher competencies but also supports the development of innovative learning practices and strengthens the capacity of the teacher community in facing the transformation of digital education in a sustainable manner.
Mega Adyna MovitariaEdriagus SaputraMelda DelviaWisda Rahmadinur

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1164

The activities aim to improve students’ readiness for the admission test through Android-based coaching integrated into simulation-based learning. Activity implementation focuses on developing simulation-based learning modules aligned with university admission tests, integrating m-learning with a computer-based test with automated grading, and coaching students in the use of the applications for self-study. The participants comprised 16 students and six teachers. The activity results showed a significant increase in student readiness: 11 of 16 students (68.75%) increased their post-training scores, with an average gain of 20.73% relative to pre-test scores. In addition to improving academic achievement, students showed a decrease in anxiety about computer-based exams and an increase in confidence and learning independence. On the other hand, teachers gain greater competence in managing digital evaluations and using learning outcome analytics to improve learning. The main contribution of this activity is the availability of an Android-based CBT ecosystem that is contextual, sustainable, and aligned with the limitations of semi-rural school infrastructure, as well as the strengthening of teachers' and students' capacity to navigate the digital transformation of education. This program demonstrates that the use of students' existing mobile devices can be an effective means of reducing the digital divide and increasing SNBT readiness in the Madrasah environment.
Indana LazulfaReza Augusta Jannatul FirdausAhmad Heru MujiantoMuhammad Husein HanafiyahLilis Karimatun Nisa'

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1127

The program is purposed to improve health literacy, promote preventive behavior against degenerative diseases, and strengthen the internalization of progressive Islamic values. The methods included interactive health education, basic health screening, and spiritual sessions designed through a participatory approach with community partners. Program evaluation employed a pre–post knowledge test, descriptive analysis of health screening results, and participatory observation to assess changes in participants’ attitudes and engagement. The evaluation results showed an increase in the mean health knowledge score from 56.2 in the pre-test to 74.5 in the post-test, representing a 32.6% improvement. Health screening of 30 participants identified 55% with hypertension, 15% with diabetes, and 45% classified as overweight or obese. In addition to physical health outcomes, participants demonstrated increased spiritual awareness in understanding health as part of religious practice. The program also resulted in the establishment of an Islamic peer support group as a new social structure to ensure program sustainability. This community engagement contributes to a measurable, replicable community-based empowerment model that integrates promotive–preventive health strategies, progressive Islamic spirituality, and the formation of supportive social structures. The findings enrich community engagement practices and the literature in Indonesia by demonstrating that a holistic, participatory approach effectively enhances the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual capacities of elderly women.
Ellyda Septiani PramitaTriyas Singgih Pambudi

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1150

The purpose of this community service activity is to revitalize the digital platform of BAZNAS East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to ensure robust management and verifiable accountability of accumulated educational philanthropic funds totaling IDR 264,962,420, while concurrently addressing an emergent institutional legitimacy crisis. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was employed over 4 weeks (16 sessions) and led by BAZNAS NTT through participatory training and mentorship. Data comprised qualitative measures (in-depth interviews and reflexive journaling) to assess the epistemic shift in organizational narrative, alongside quantitative indicators (financial disbursement verification and SOP adoption checklist) to evaluate performance metrics. The analysis was systematically structured using institutional and thematic frameworks (transformative learning) to map the underlying tension between mandated legitimacy and realized operational capacity. The principal findings are conclusive: the legitimacy crisis was successfully resolved, evidenced by the triumphant reactivation of the Kitabisa.com account and the verified disbursement of collected funds to intended beneficiaries. The intervention induced a critical epistemic shift and consolidated organizational capability (digital stewardship), underscoring the importance of activating endogenous moral capital to foster stakeholder ownership and long-term institutional sustainability. The outcome substantiates the occurrence of Transformative Learning. The community services validate a replicable ABCD model for zakat institutions operating in minority and peripheral regions. Theoretically, institutional sustainability is critically dependent on the organization's capacity to activate its endogenous moral capital as a prerequisite for structural and digital interventions.
Shulhan Shulhan

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1165

This community service program aims to increase understanding and acceptance of renewable energy technology among coastal communities on Bungin Island, Sumbawa Regency, one of the world's most densely populated islands. Despite its enormous solar energy potential, the local community still relies on conventional energy sources, making it economically vulnerable and having a low level of energy security. By applying the Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework, this community service program involved key community stakeholders, including village officials, fishermen's groups, and 20 MSMEs, by conducting a structured three-stage intervention: diagnostic needs assessment through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), interactive economic literacy education using Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) analysis, and direct technical demonstrations of rooftop solar power plants (PLTS). This intervention successfully brought about positive behavioral changes by breaking down psychological barriers related to cost and technological complexity. Specifically, the program empowered local fisheries MSMEs to view renewable energy not as a financial burden but as a strategic asset to reduce production costs and enable “eco-branding” of their products. This activity fostered strong pentahelix collaboration among academics, village governments, and local business groups and built a validated model for the energy transition at the grassroots level. This paper contributes to the literature by providing replicable community engagement strategies to accelerate renewable energy adoption in densely populated, land-constrained island regions, bridging the gap between national energy policy and community readiness.
Pipit PuspitasariWahyu HanaldiRizqy Renafasih AlinraMardini HasanahChandra Arie NugrahantoSriyatun

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1225

The food-sharing activity aims to analyze the impact of youth-based Community Service initiatives on the social welfare and collective happiness of urban communities in Surabaya, amid ongoing food insecurity despite a declining trend in poverty rates. This study employs a Participatory Community Engagement approach, positioning youth and beneficiary communities as active actors in the design, implementation, and reflection on social intervention programs. The analysis is developed by integrating social capital theory and a capability approach. The results of this study demonstrate two intertwined layers of impact. At the community level, food sharing not only helps meet basic nutritional needs but also enhances psychosocial well-being by strengthening a sense of security, social recognition, and inclusion among informal workers and economically vulnerable households. At the youth level, involvement in the Community Empowerment Program has been shown to strengthen social skills, empathy, a sense of purpose, and emotional well-being. These findings confirm that youth-driven food-sharing initiatives extend beyond charitable practices and function as participatory social interventions that strengthen social cohesion and community capacity. This study makes an original contribution by conceptualizing youth-based community services as a potentially scalable participatory service model, with strategic implications for urban social resilience policy and for research on prosociality, happiness, and community development.
Muhammad Sifa Fauzi YulianisAmir Bandar Abdul Majid AmirMohammad SuudSalwa Abidah ZulfaGandes Hutami IlmiVira Salsabella AnggrainiRobitul HudaNabila Meisya FitriDio Fikri

https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1199

The majority of teacher problems in Indonesia are related to pedagogical and professional competencies. One of these is the problem of developing media independently. This community service program is a solution for community service partners (in this context, elementary school teachers) to improve their media development skills. There are three main stages in this activity: outreach, mentoring, and media dissemination. This activity also investigated the Reflective Mapping of the Teacher's Resource System (RMRS) to identify how teachers manage the resources used to develop learning media. The outcome of this service is improved teachers' ability to develop media. Three of the fifteen teachers disseminated the media they developed. Based on analysis of dissemination and interviews with teachers, the RMRS results indicate that teachers have a variety of resources for media development. The findings of these activities indicate that this program not only contributes to media product output but also to understanding teachers’ resource-management mindsets, grounded in pedagogical rationality and connections among resources. Overall, this activity is oriented toward design-related processes rather than merely improving technical skills in media development. These activities emphasize ongoing professional teacher development and foster a systematic, holistic perspective on the organization and use of resources in media development.
Fadhlan Muchlas AbroriNursia NursiaFitri WijariniAlfi SuciyatiSilfia IlmaNur Fitriana SamVlorensius VlorensiusIbrahim IbrahimBimo Aji NugrohoYogho PrastyoErmawaty MaradhyDarius RupaListiani ListianiFatmawati FatmawatiZulfadli Zulfadli

2026-01-142026-01-1460113114510.37850/taawun.v6i01.1199Effectiveness of Distribution of Baznas Microfinance Village Business Funds to Mustahiq: Opportunities and Challenges
https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1222

This community service aims to analyze the effectiveness, opportunities, and challenges of the BAZNAS Microfinance Desa (BMD) Tulungagung fund distribution program in empowering vulnerable Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The community service design applies an economic empowerment model, which focuses on building the capacity of individuals and groups through access to resources, training, and markets to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic self-sufficiency. The stages of this community service activity are problem identification, activity planning, implementation followed by the distribution of business funds to the Mustahiq Assistance Group, periodic monitoring and evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of funds through the Qardhul Hasan scheme (interest-free loans) is effective in addressing capital constraints and supporting the sustainability of partner businesses. This effectiveness is supported by the implementation of Maqasid al-Sharia, as manifested through spiritual mentoring and legal support for business. BMD not only provides capital but also builds a holistic mentoring ecosystem. The challenges faced by BMD include unsecured credit risk and partners' limited managerial capacity. The sustainability of the BMD program requires long-term strengthening to achieve the vision of transforming mustahiq into muzakki. Overall, this community service activity contributes to increasing business capacity, strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the Tulungagung area, and transforming mustahiq into muzakki, thereby implementing the BMD program's sustainability objectives.
Ahmad Fauzi AsshidqiM. https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/taawun/article/view/1209

Alumni play a strategic role in strengthening academic networks and research dissemination. However, limited mastery of advanced data analysis remains a major barrier to publication in reputable international journals. This community service program aimed to enhance alumni data analysis capacity through a non-formal continuing education model integrating Participatory Action Research (PAR), Kirkpatrick’s evaluation framework, and hands-on training using R software. The program involved 38 graduate school alumni and was evaluated using the four Kirkpatrick levels. Results show that 68.42% of participants demonstrated high engagement (reaction), while 81.58% perceived strong relevance between training materials and their professional needs. Quantitative evaluation using PLS-SEM indicates that learning significantly influenced behavioral change (R² = 0.217), and behavior had a strong effect on results (R² = 0.399), reflected in increased frequency of R usage, application of advanced analytical techniques, and research collaboration. This program makes a real contribution in providing a structured, measurable, and sustainable model for strengthening alumni capacity, and can be replicated by other universities to improve the quality of publications and the productivity of data-based research.
Samsul HadiHeri RetnawatiAli MuhsonEko Wahyunanto PrihonoFitria LapeleKartianom KartianomHabib Ratu Perwira Negara
