The aim of this development research is to develop ethnoscience-based Big Book learning media that is valid, practical and effective, and can improve critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The subjects of this study were class IV of UPT SDN 169 Gresik. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method and the ADDIE model which has five stages according to Robert Maribe Branch. The five phases consist of analyze (analysis), design (planning), develop (development), implement (implementation), and evaluate (evaluation). The methods for data collection utilized are questionnaires, testing sheets, and validation sheets.Data collection instruments used Big Book media validation sheets and learning tools, observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of this development show that ethnoscience-based Big Book media is suitable for use, so that students' critical thinking also increases. It is said to be feasible because the validation results of the media and the tools that help media development show the "very good" category and the qualification "very usable". Meanwhile, the media is said to be practical, seen from the results of observations of learning implementation, namely "very practical" and received a positive response from students ,namely "very interesting". Meanwhile, students' critical thinking skills are said to have increased because it is measured from the pretest and posttest, the average pretest score shows an indicator of "very poor" while the average posttest score is "very good". Thus, ethnoscience-based Big Book media is suitable for use in a valid, practical and effective manner.

2025-03-05T08:02:24+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA' https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/959 Strategi Efektif untuk Mencegah Bullying di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 2025-04-21T12:43:39+00:00 Lisa Fadiyah Sonosuhar22@gmail.com Suharsono sonosuhar22@gmail.com Maftuhah sonosuhar22@gmail.com
Bullying is a common issue among children and can negatively impact their mental health and academic performance, including in Islamic elementary schools (madrasah ibtida’iyah). This study aimed to identify effective strategies for preventing bullying in madrasah by incorporating Islamic values. A systematic literature review was conducted on relevant studies published between 2020 and 2025, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The collected data were analyzed using PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The findings indicate that instilling Islamic values such as honesty, tolerance, compassion, and social awareness plays a crucial role in shaping students' character, fostering mutual respect, and developing empathy. Religious activities in schools, such as reading the Qur’an, performing congregational prayers, and learning Islamic ethics, serve as essential means to reinforce these values in daily life. Additionally, teachers’ roles as role models and collaboration with parents are key factors in creating a safe and harmonious school environment. Therefore, strategies based on Islamic values have the potential to reduce bullying in madrasah ibtida’iyah and promote a positive and supportive learning environment for students’ character development.
2025-03-06T06:40:50+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA' https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/963 Penerapan Media Wordwall untuk Meningkatkan Minat Membaca Siswa Kelas II di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 2025-04-21T13:51:51+00:00 Anggun Safitri anggunsafitrii03@gmail.com Sri Yulia Sari yuliasari88@yahoo.co.id Sophia Rahmawati sophia.rahmawati89@unja.ac
The main issue at the Nurul Yaqin Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is the students' lack of enthusiasm for reading. This is mostly due to the teacher's failure to diversify the learning materials and the monotonous nature of the learning process, resulting in a diminished interest in reading among the students. This thesis presents classroom action research that focuses on enhancing students' enthusiasm for reading through the implementation of Wordwall media in thematic learning of Indonesian language material for second-grade students at Nurul Yaqin Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, located in Muaro Jambi Regency. Data was acquired via methods such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, subjective tests, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted utilizing qualitative data analysis techniques, which involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings demonstrate that the utilization of Wordwall media has the potential to enhance pupils' inclination towards reading. The rise in students' enthusiasm for reading can be quantified based on the findings of observations of student learning activities. In cycle I, the average was 71%, while in cycle II it increased to 81%. Additionally, the interest in reading, as assessed through a questionnaire, showed an average of 70% in cycle I, falling under the fairly good category. In cycle II, this percentage rose to 80%, indicating a very good level of interest. Moreover, the students' interest in reading was further supported by their academic performance, as demonstrated by the direct test results. In cycle I, the average score was 73%, which then increased to 88% in cycle II. Therefore, the findings of the study conducted at the Nurul Yaqin Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Muaro Jambi Regency.
2025-03-07T08:21:34+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA' https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/950 Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode MIM-MEM (Mimicry Memorization) terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab 2025-04-21T13:39:12+00:00 Resa Aulia Hasanah resaauliahasanah@gmail.com Hilman Jaelani jaelanihilman17@gmail.com Rinita Rosalinda Dewi rinita.rosalindadewi@gmail.com
This research is motivated by the difficulties of understanding and learning Arabic experienced by most grade III students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate how Mim-mem (mimicry memorization) can help students learn Arabic better. To determine the influence of an action on the results of the study, a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was used. The entire population of grade III students of MI Nurul Falah totaling 24 people was taken as a sample for this study using the saturated sampling method. These samples are then divided into experimental classes and control classes. The data collection method in this study is through pretest and posttest. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the SPSS 23 program, which included descriptive statistics, normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test. This study shows that the Mim-M em method is effective in improving a more active classroom atmosphere and significantly improving the Arabic learning outcomes of grade III students. There was a substantial increase in average scores, namely from 29.5 in the pretest to 89.5 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the group taught by the expository method experienced a much smaller increase, from 26 to 56. The significant influence of the Mim-mem method on learning outcomes was shown by statistical analysis with an independent sample t-test (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05). This shows that students who use the Mim-mem method learn better than students who use the expository method.
2025-04-21T13:39:11+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA' https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/971 Penguatan Parenting Fun and Motivation untuk Mecetak Anak Bangsa Berkarakter menuju Indonesia Beradab 2025-04-22T03:34:17+00:00 Saifudin bkdsaifudin@gmail.com Nur Ariyanti ariyantie.nur@gmail.com
A major issue in educating children in the modern era is the lack of parental understanding regarding parenting based on national character values. This contributes to the development of a young generation with weak character and a diminished sense of national identity. This study aims to improve parents' understanding and skills in implementing enjoyable parenting (fun parenting) grounded in the values of Pancasila as a foundation for early character development. The research was conducted at SD Islam Sahabat Berlian, Gendong Laren, Lamongan, a school known for its commitment to character education and active parental involvement. A quantitative method was employed using a pretest-posttest survey design. Interventions were carried out through training sessions, group discussions, simulations, and direct community-based mentoring. The results indicated a significant improvement in parents' understanding and application of fun parenting practices based on Pancasila values.
