Procedural understanding (memorization of rules) often dominates conceptual understanding. This article outlines a didactic analysis of the use of the number line as the primary visual model for building conceptual understanding of integer arithmetic operations. The methods used are a literature review and a conceptual analysis of how the number line can represent four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The analysis shows that the number line consistently models arithmetic operations as movements (translations or jumps). Addition is interpreted as a forward shift from the initial position, subtraction as a backward shift, multiplication as repeated jumps, and division as the inverse process of multiplication (counting the number of jumps). It is concluded that the number line is not merely a teaching aid, but rather an essential mathematical model that bridges concrete arithmetic understanding to a more complex algebraic structure.
2025-11-14T08:36:44+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA'https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/1135Pengembangan Panduan Marketday Berbasis Articulate Storyline pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar 2025-11-18T08:06:06+00:00Salwa Asyifa’ul Izzahsalwassyfa@gmail.comNur Hidayah Hanifahnurhidayahhanifah@uin-malang.ac.id
The Market Day program is a project of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The main issue underlying this research is the low level of student autonomy in PAI learning, as indicated by their strong dependence on teacher instructions, limited creativity, and inadequate ability to plan and manage their own learning processes. The study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 29 Paciran, involving PAI teachers, homeroom teachers, and fifteen eighth-grade students who participated in project-based learning activities. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through classroom observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation review. Data analysis followed the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of project-based learning in PAI encourages students to become more active, creative, and responsible throughout the learning process. Projects such as producing short dakwah videos and conducting Islamic social activities not only enhanced students’ understanding of Islamic values but also fostered their autonomy in planning, executing, and evaluating learning tasks. Interview data further support these findings, showing positive changes in students’ learning behaviors.
2025-12-03T04:17:09+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 IBTIDA'https://journal.faibillfath.ac.id/index.php/ibtida/article/view/1111Korelasi Keterampilan Guru dalam Pengelolaan Kelas terhadap Keaktifan Peserta Didik di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah2025-12-09T07:48:02+00:00Afrida Nuraini Suhudafridanurainisuhud@gmail.comRofiatun Nisa'fyanisa1214@gmail.com
This study focuses on three main aspects: (1) teachers' skills in managing the classroom, (2) the level of student activity, and (3) the relationship between classroom management skills and student activity.
